The Sierra de la Maribela conceals one of the most beautiful landscapes of Las Villuercas. In it, you will find this singular oak tree.
This over 400-year-old oak stands sheltered by other species amidst streams and verdant lowlands. The oak of La Nava or La Maribela, as it is known, is without doubt one of the most beautiful oaks in Extremadura, so if you walk around Las Villuercas, it is worth your while stopping along the path to enjoy one of the most beautiful landscapes in the region.
This specimen is 20 metres tall and the base of its trunk measures nearly nine metres. But the most spectacular part of it is the treetop, which would touch the ground if there were no livestock, and spans around 28 metres.
