The Talaván reservoir is an area of Extremadura with a rich bird life. It is located in the centre of the province of Cáceres, more specifically between the towns of Talaván, Hinojal and Santiago del Campo. If you walk around here, you will easily recognise the Mediterranean turtle and see endangered birds like the tern, or large concentrations of great bustards and cranes.
