From the top of the keep, the views take in the La Serena reservoir and an extensive area of La Siberia.
The castle is in the town of Puebla de Alcocer, in the region of La Siberia, to the north-west of the province of Badajoz. This fortress was built in the 13th century but it has been remodelled several times, such as in the 15th century, to give it the appearance that you will see today.
Inside the castle, you will discover the keep, which is noteworthy as it has several floors, and you see a unique view from it, which takes in the La Serena reservoir and the plains of La Siberia. From there, sunrises and sunsets are spectacular.
This fortress is also characterised by its scarcity of arrow slits, which gives it a closed and robust appearance.
To get a little closer to its delights, you have the chance to take a stroll around its long walls - a walk that will take you back to times gone by. -
