The chestnut tree of Los Realengos is located in the Sierra de San Bernabé mountains, in the municipality of Casas del Castañar (Jerte Valley). It stands over 25 metres tall and has a trunk circumference of 6 metres, and is in a perfect state of conservation. Several walking routes through an oak wood have been designed around this robust tree.
