Festival of Tourist Interest in Extremadura, this event highlights the rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender group.
Each spring, Badajoz holds a day of celebration and demands in which lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender groups showcase their rights. A benchmark festival in favour of tolerance, equality and sexual diversity in the national arena.
The old town of the Badajoz capital becomes the perfect scenario for enjoying a festival where thousands of people gather round a number of stages decked out for the occasion, and where the numerous activities included in the programme of the event take place.
Musical performances, exhibitions in different areas, debates, conferences, book presentations, films, theatre, Tapas and Cakes Route and Palomos Kids (for children and families) make up the programme of Los Palomos. A day of entertainment and communication of values which has grown to become one of the essential springtime festivals in Spain.
