The chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Belén is one of the most important in the town of Cabeza del Buey in Badajoz province, and as a result was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
The chapel of Belén, in Cabeza del Buey, was constructed by the Order of the Temple in the 13th century. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, this chapel dedicated to the Virgin of Belén is the most important historical and artistic monument in this municipality in Badajoz province. Its most notable feature is that it is surrounded by tall, ancient elm trees, declared singular trees, which bestow even more value to the scenery around the chapel, if indeed that were possible.
