The Catholic Monarchs spent long periods in this building with Gothic and Mudejar details.
If you are passing through Trujillo, you simply must visit this building which is considered a good example of Castilian civil architecture from the Late Middle Ages. The Chaves el Viejo Palace-House is set against a section of Trujillo's town wall, but you will recognise it by its strong walls and slender towers, even though only some vestiges remain of them.
