Allow yourself to be intoxicated by the movement of these trees with fine trunks and silver leaves.
The birch wood of Puerto de Honduras is located in the municipality of Gargantilla and contains the best representation of this species of trees which began growing in Extremadura in the Quaternary period. Few birches are left in the area, sharing the terrain with the willows and buckthorns that populate this wood in the north of the province of Cáceres where you can enjoy the song of mountain birds like the bluethroat, the Alpine accentor and the ortolan bunting.
